Job Summary
Essential Duties
- Being the Lead Manufacturing Engineer for the Engineering Department, ensuring best practice processes are developed.
- Providing Manufacturing Engineering support to both customers and suppliers.
- Identifying and implementing improvements to equipment, processes, and methods.
- Identifying and driving improvement initiatives to reduce costs and improve on-time delivery.
- Responsible for applying, maintaining, and improving lean manufacturing procedures.
- Actively supporting the development needs of the team to ensure task flexibility.
- Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures.
- Develop Engineering staff as appropriate to ensure retention and succession.
- Drive production line extension and work it as a full-fledged zero-based project with key deliverables and milestones detailed.
- Provide technical assistance to the engineering team to ensure equipment issues are addressed.
- Issue/review the necessary qualification documents required for the purchase of new equipment, such as user requirement specifications, design qualification, installation, operational and performance qualifications.
- Maintain accurate and secure records for all engineering maintenance activities performed and ensure that they are performed as per schedule.

Required Qualifications
Qualification:
Minimum Bachelors in Engineering
Experience:
5 to 7 years of related experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry or similar operations (preferably with leadership functional responsibility)
Other Skills:
Strong knowledge of GMP and regulatory agencies
Strong knowledge in Compliance Information Systems and SOPs
Have the technical ability to learn and direct maintenance and engineering processes, evaluate and understand problems, devise a technical solution and implement that solution via staff and procedural means.
